A flashcard app that schedules every card with FSRS, the spaced repetition algorithm Anki also uses. AI drafts cards from your notes or a PDF, and you can publish decks to a community marketplace.
What I built
- AI card drafts run on Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite and retry on Cerebras gpt-oss-120b after a 429, a timeout, a 5xx or an unusable response.
- Text PDFs go through unpdf, and scanned ones fall back to Gemini's native PDF input, up to 30 pages.
- Study works offline: results wait in a persisted outbox and sync on start, on foreground and on reconnect.
- Six Appwrite Functions handle card generation, the marketplace, share links, gamification, streak reminders and account deletion.
- Five Maestro flows test the app end to end: registering, creating a deck and a card, a study session, publishing and the share preview.
- No ads and no subscriptions: everyone gets the same limits, and the server caps AI generations at five a day.
